Basin Gulch historical drill results and trench highlights

Last updated: November 2026. Published by Lannister Mining.

The best historical Basin Gulch drill result is 1.8 g/t gold over 162 metres from surface, out of more than 320 holes.

Lannister Mining reports five highlight intersections and four trench highlights from historical work at Basin Gulch. Three intersections start at surface, two longer intervals exceed 160 metres, and the trenches returned silver alongside gold. These results will be confirmed and expanded by new drilling before a Maiden Mineral Resource Estimate.

What are the best Basin Gulch drill results?

The highlight Basin Gulch intersections are 1.8 g/t gold over 162 metres, 0.66 g/t gold over 326 metres and 3.2 g/t gold over 72 metres, each from surface. Higher grade, narrower intervals include 156 g/t gold over 3 metres and 25 g/t gold over 14 metres.

How to read these Basin Gulch drilling numbers

What g/t and length tell you

Grades are given in grams per tonne (g/t). A Basin Gulch interval of 1.8 g/t gold over 162 metres means the rock across that full 162 metre length averaged 1.8 grams of gold in every tonne. Silver grades use the same unit, shown as g/t Ag.

Length matters as much as grade. Long intervals at moderate grade, such as 0.66 g/t gold over 326 metres, describe a broad mineralized body. Short intervals at very high grade, such as 156 g/t gold over 3 metres, describe concentrated zones. Basin Gulch has reported both kinds, which is why Lannister Mining describes high grade gold and silver mineralization near surface.

Why from-surface intervals matter

Three of the five highlight Basin Gulch intersections start at surface. Mineralization that begins at the top of the hole needs less overlying rock moved to reach it, and Lannister Mining links this to significant implied mine design optimization flexibility.

Historical results are a starting point, not a finished resource. Lannister Mining plans expansion and confirmation drilling of historical intercepts, and future drilling will also concentrate on additional mineralized target areas within the property. Partners should review the underlying data and the company investor presentation before drawing conclusions.

Another current drill program, for scale

For scale, a press roundup published on Rohstoff-Welt reported that a company announced a planned six-hole, approximately 3,050-foot (930-metre) drill program at the past-producing Rowland Tungsten Property in Elko County, Nevada, with historical open cut samples returning up to 4.02% WO3.

That is a different metal, state and stage of work. It is included only to show how much prior drilling Basin Gulch already carries with more than 320 historical holes. Source: Great Basin Drill Season Delivers High-Grade Silver and Gold (Rohstoff-Welt).

Where the next drilling goes

Lannister Mining reports that Basin Gulch mineralization is open in multiple directions and at depth, open along strike and untested regionally, and that about two-thirds of the property is unexplored. That shapes two drilling goals: confirm and extend the historical intercepts, and test new ground.

Common questions

See all questions
How many holes have been drilled at Basin Gulch?
More than 320 historical drill holes have been completed at Basin Gulch, according to Lannister Mining. That body of historical work is one of the main reasons the property stands out among early stage gold projects, because it gives explorers a large existing dataset before any new drilling begins.
What does g/t Au mean in drill results?
g/t Au means grams of gold per tonne of rock. A result of 1.8 g/t Au over 162 metres means the drill core averaged 1.8 grams of gold in each tonne across that 162 metre length. g/t Ag is the same measure for silver.
What does "from surface" mean in a drill intercept?
From surface means the mineralized interval starts at the top of the hole rather than deep underground. Three of the highlight Basin Gulch intersections, including 1.8 g/t gold over 162 metres, are reported from surface. Lannister Mining links this near-surface position to significant implied mine design optimization flexibility.
What did trenching at Basin Gulch return?
Lannister Mining lists these historical trench highlights: 62 g/t gold and 32 g/t silver over 159 metres, 4 g/t gold and 23 g/t silver over 146 metres, 5 g/t gold and 54 g/t silver over 34 metres, and 25 g/t gold and 45 g/t silver over 61 metres. Confirm each figure against company technical documentation.
Have the historical Basin Gulch drill results been verified?
The results are historical and are shown as reported by Lannister Mining. The company plans expansion and confirmation drilling of historical drill intercepts before a Maiden Mineral Resource Estimate. Partners should review the underlying data and any technical reports rather than relying on highlight figures alone.
Is new drilling planned at Basin Gulch?
Yes. Lannister Mining states that future drilling will confirm and expand historical intercepts and will concentrate on additional mineralized target areas within the property. The company has not published a drill schedule on this site, so contact the team for current timing.
